How to Sell A Timeshare
We recently posted an article about pricing when learning how to sell a timeshare. While price is the driving force behind al timeshare resales, having a distinct and thorough knowledge of your timeshare ownership is also critical in the process. When learning how to sell a timeshare, the first steps are learning your own contract and exactly what it is worth.

Price and knowledge set the stage for everything else you do when you sell a timeshare. Having this solid foundation will help you figure out how to sell your timeshare much quicker than any other method. Luckily, this can all be done in the comfortability of your own home, with little outside help. Learning how to sell a timeshare on your own can seem quite daunting, but once these two steps are completed, the road seems a lot more manageable.

The Basic Details You Need To Know When You Sell a Timeshare

Aside from pricing, knowing the intricacies of your timeshare contract is the most vital aspect when learning how to sell a timeshare. Having legal counsel certainly helps with this process, but this can also be done on your own. Just as with any sale, knowledge of what the buyer will receive is crucial to any good salesperson and transaction. Confidence and knowledge will assure your buyer that they are receiving something of value, something worth knowing every detail of.

Before even marketing the property, know all of your basic information, and be prepared for any question the buyer may ask. In learning how to sell a timeshare, the more bases you cover, the more likely the transaction will proceed.
  • Do you own a deeded or non-deeded timeshare?
  • Do you have all of the necessary documents pertaining to ownership?
  • Is your timeshare involved in any exchange programs?

The more you know, the closer you will be to selling your timeshare. Your buyer will pick up on this and will be less likely to get cold feet. Learning how to sell a timeshare is hard enough, and knowing everything about what you are marketing will give you much more confidence moving forward.

Inability To Book Reservations: For One’s Own Hilton Timeshare!

Hilton timeshare reviews are plentiful throughout the industry, but every single complaint helps. The more consumers take a stand and voice their outrage with Hilton and other timeshare scams, the more likely real change can be accomplished. You can submit your own Hilton timeshare reviews in our resort review section and help warn others about the dangers of Hilton timeshare ownership.

Hilton timeshare reviews are everywhere, and there is a very common thread. Many customers complain about the typical fraudulent activity with timeshares in their Hilton reviews such as high-pressure sales tactics and large hidden fees. However, the dominant complaint in Hilton timeshare reviews is a complete lack of availability and the resulting loss of vacation time for families with Hilton contracts.

Customers are “Lucky” to Use Their Hilton Timeshare in any Given Year

Hilton timeshare Reviews
The most startling Hilton timeshare review I came across described a hard-working family who, like many others, were lured into a contract with a flashy timeshare presentation. After signing the timeshare contract with Hilton under duress, they have only been able to actually use their timeshare once in 4 years.

This is an incredible outrage for any timeshare reviewer, and it seems issues like this are very common with Hilton. To add insult to injury, the only year this family was able to use their timeshare, Hilton charged them a $70 booking fee. To use their own timeshare. This Hilton timeshare review advised that if you are ever thinking about purchasing a Hilton timeshare, you are much better served by simply booking a hotel.

These Hilton timeshare reviews make it very clear that this company is injuring their own customers immensely. If you have your own Hilton timeshare review, please share it with us or leave a comment below! Do not let Hilton get away with this.

Know the Right Price When You Sell a Timeshare

When learning how to sell a timeshare, many new sellers are extremely anxious to unload their timeshare property as fast as possible. However, customers who are learning how to sell a timeshare also want to receive as much compensation as possible. Many soon learn that these two components are mutually exclusive.

If you want to learn how to sell your timeshare fast, you will likely receive much less value for your property, and vice-versa. However, there are a few basic tips to learn before anything else regarding how to sell your timeshare. Luckily, this is easy on the burdened customer, because this research can all be done within one’s own contract.

Pricing is the Driving Force Behind All Timeshare Resales

How To Sell a Timeshare
The first key to learn in how to sell a timeshare is pricing your timeshare effectively. Price is the most important factor in timeshare resales, and the driving force behind the speed and value of the sale. This may seem obvious, but too many customers who want to learn how to sell a timeshare have unrealistic goals concerning price.

The first step is getting a pulse on the nature and state of the timeshare resale industry. For instance, learning how to sell an individual timeshare studio or unit is very different than other resales, because the market is so depressed. A big blow to seller confidence can come from those learning how to sell larger timeshares as well, because these usually sell for less than half of the original value.

Learning how to sell a timeshare is a difficult process, and requires sellers to set reasonable expectations. Pricing your timeshare correctly is key in selling your timeshare. If you want to sell a timeshare quickly, keep the price very low. However, if you are learning how to sell a timeshare and can wait for the right bidder, make sure the price is still reasonable. If not, the timeshare could remain under your name for a very long time.

Wyndham Timeshare Scam

The Most Brutal Sales Presentation in the Industry

The Wyndham timeshare scam is well documented in timeshare forums and complaint boards throughout the internet. When I decided to research the subject, I was quite startled by the degree and nature of the Wyndham timeshare scam. Usually, timeshare scams are noted for hard sales tactics, but these issues pale in comparison to the fraud that occurs once the contract is signed.

The Wyndham timeshare scam is very different. Little is said about their hidden fees and deadlocked contracts. A complaint here and there, but the contract is not the main issue with the Wyndham timeshare scam. Instead, forums are littered with frustrated and outraged consumers who were promised free “vacations” for their timeshare presentations, only to be bullied, pressured, insulted, and even ejected.

The Source of the Wyndham Timeshare Scam

Wyndham Timeshare Scam
Most timeshare scams work by luring customers in with false promises and misrepresentation about the nature of timeshares. Those who attend timeshare presentations are told that timeshares are a good investment, and can be sold anytime for a profit. The Wyndham timeshare scam works by offering a beautiful vacation simply for attending a presentation. Little do consumers know, they are walking into a nightmare.

Most of the contracts signed with Wyndham not only involve fraud, but hard-line sales tactics that seem borderline illegal. One very level headed consumer claimed to have been verbally assaulted and insulted at the presentation. Once it became clear that they would not purchase a Wyndham timeshare, they were ejected from the building and their vacation revoked. We advise anyone to stay away from timeshare presentations, but especially from Wyndham. The Wyndham timeshare scam is colossal, intimidating, and ensures anyone who attends their presentations are in for a nasty experience.

Please share! Have any of you experienced the torment of the Wyndham timeshare scam?

Beware Companies Who Promise Quick Timeshare Selling Results

Picture
Selling Timeshares
Most of you who have been lured into a timeshare contract and want to get out know how difficult selling timeshares can be. Individuals almost always need help when it comes time to sell your timeshare. We have many articles written about the dangers of companies who claim to aid in selling timeshares, as many can be complete swindlers.

I was recently speaking with a colleague in the industry, and he actually does help clients in selling their timeshares. He has anger with the timeshare industry just like us, but he is much more focused on timeshare selling scams than timeshares themselves.

Companies that aid in selling timeshares are often incredibly fraudulent. He said that with his experience, maybe 1 of these companies in 5 will help clients in actually selling timeshares. Most of these companies are out to make a quick dollar, hurt their clients even more, and run.

The Best Piece of Advice When Looking at Timeshare Selling Companies

This expert in the timeshare selling industry said that the number one thing to look for in a timeshare selling program is quick promises. These companies will claim to provide lightning fast results when, in reality, the process for selling timeshares is complex and quite difficult. Beware of any company that makes it seem as though selling timeshares is fast and simple, and only their company has “the secret.” There is no secret to selling timeshares, just hard work, expertise, and a little luck. Customers who really need to sell their timeshare must suffer with the realities of the process for actual progress. The alternative is empty promises and high rates for false hope.
