Turn Dirty Tricks Against Timeshare Companies

As a timeshare owner, it is very likely that you have been the victim of timeshare misrepresentation. Fraud is replete throughout the timeshare industry, but the bulk of this misrepresentation occurs at the timeshare presentation.

Timeshare contracts are most often signed over false pretense and outright lies. Timeshare presentations can be nasty experiences where attendees are subject to hours of half-truths, fast sales pitches, and immense pressure from salesmen. Consumers are often caught off-guard and are easily mislead through misrepresentation.

Attendees are told that timeshares are wonderful investments that can pay huge dividends. Salesmen speak of the ease of ownership and how timeshares offer great flexibility for dream vacations. This is utter misrepresentation, perpetrated by timeshare companies who should be held responsible for their deceitful claims.

Use this Misrepresentation when Breaking the Contract

While timeshare companies use misrepresentation to coerce consumers to purchase timeshares, owners can use this to their advantage when getting out of a timeshare. It is a very good idea to document, in detail, all the forms of timeshare misrepresentation experienced at the timeshare presentation. These lies constitute fraud and are a great way to build leverage against timeshare companies.

Timeshare companies do not let owners break contracts easily, but timeshare misrepresentation is a just cause for breaking a contract, and timeshare companies know this. It is essential to use all of the weapons at your disposal when getting out of a timeshare, and misrepresentation is one of the most powerful.

Timeshare Scams
For timeshare owners who have already signed a timeshare contract, this is well known advice and a great warning to all consumers. Before getting involved with a timeshare company, consumers must use the greatest precaution. The timeshare industry has a very long history of fraud, misrepresentation, and are known as some of the biggest scams of modern history.

Timeshare scams begin with an innocent consumers being lured into a presentation with the promise of a wonderful gift. The timeshare presentation is often much longer than advertised, and attendees are bullied, pressured, and lied to just so timeshare salesmen can force a signature of a contract. The timeshare scam is in full effect, and there is very little a timeshare owner can do. It should be noted, however, that within the first few weeks of signing a timeshare contract, a new owner can null the agreement and be free of the scam immediately.

The final stage of timeshare scams comes in the form of hidden fees, drastic increases in payments, and maintenance costs. The entire goal of timeshare scams is this stage, when timeshare companies force owners to pay their fees because they have a legally binding contract. Timeshare scams can be financially traumatic for families, and must be avoided at all cost.

There may be some situations where timeshares are not scams, and can actually work for investors. However, this is nearly never the case. The entire timeshare industry was designed as a scam, and, unfortunately, a fairly legal one. However, there are ways to fight back against timeshare scams, and the first step is asking for help. Timeshare Consumer Bureau is here to strike back against timeshare scams, so submit a review or complaint today!

Timeshare Scams
The timeshare industry is an extremely perilous one for so many reasons, and the various scams that arise from this business are as diverse and inventive as they are shocking. Timeshare resorts are scams, timeshare exchange programs use misleading marketing tactics, and timeshare resale companies are often deceptive scams as well. Scam artists prey upon unwitting customers throughout the timeshare business, and more consumers should be aware of the pitfalls of any timeshare ownership.

The public understands the nature of timeshare scams and their reputation throughout the industry. The problem is that timeshare salesmen make the idea of timeshares sound so spectacular, which is of course the major component of the scam.

A recent development in the world of timeshare scams is selling timeshares on Ebay. Many consumers are tricked into timeshare ownership because the price on Ebay is listed as one dollar. Of course, to those who know how timeshare scams work, the idea is simple: unload a timeshare property for one dollar to an unsuspecting victim, who has no idea how burdensome timeshare contracts can be.

Often, these Ebay timeshare scam artists buy the timeshare from an owner who needs to break the contract, and quickly turns around and sells the timeshare property for a profit. Subsequently, the new owner has no idea how hidden fees, annual payments, and maintenance costs can turn their lives into a financial nightmare. The new Ebay timeshare scam proves, once again, that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
