Getting Out Of a Timeshare
Timeshare Advice
At Timeshare Consumer Bureau, we receive a large amount of consumer complaints and resort reviews, but most struggling timeshare owners simply want some solid timeshare advice. While we do understand the intricacies of the industry and provide very solid advice, especially in regard to timeshare complaints, there are other sources for timeshare advice beyond our scope of knowledge. When dealing with a specific resort or timeshare issue, we are often the perfect place to submit a complaint. However, if you are looking to get out of a timeshare, there are several other sources that offer perfectly free legal timeshare advice.

Many timeshare owners choose to seek the legal counsel of timeshare lawyers for free timeshare advice. Many legal companies claim to offer a free consultation. However, unfortunately, many lawyers have their hands full and will not offer very helpful timeshare advice without charging a legal fee. This is simply the nature of the business. However, there are certain companies out there that offer wonderful timeshare advice without charging a single cent. These companies have a full staff and are at hand to offer real, practical timeshare advice for any consumer who asks.

Why Timeshare Service Companies Offer Superior Timeshare Advice

We hinted at this earlier, but the true reason that these companies can provide superior timeshare advice is that they have a larger staff that focuses on getting owners out of their timeshares specifically. Timeshare lawyers deal with a whole host of issues, and it is common practice to try to sell you on legal retainer during the free consultation. However, timeshare service companies are very much like us in the fact that they are trying to help the timeshare owning consumer public get out of their timeshares, and can thus take the time to answer your questions and offer helpful timeshare advice. If you would like to receive the names of some of these companies when trying to get out of a timeshare, please contact us directly and we can refer you to a company that can provide you with the timeshare advice you need... absolutely free.

Do you have the names of any timeshare service companies that you mentioned in the paragraph above? I'd like to talk to at least one of them. If you have names and contact info, could you email it to me? Thanks.

Before making any purchase, make sure you know your timeshare cancellation rights. If you already made the purchase and are trying to cancel the contract, there are many Timeshare Cancellation Companies who claim to assist clients who have been victims of a timeshare fraud to cancel their contract and recover the money they’ve lost… but after you give them an upfront fee. Be aware, timeshare cancellation should not cost you upfront! In MTS, we don’t charge any fees until the contract is cancelled: No results, no pay. Contact Mexican Timeshare Solutions for a free consultation and analysis of your timeshare matter. Contact us today and relieve yourself from future payments.

I got our timeshare (which I originally didnt want) in a divorce because my ex couldn't afford it. I don't use it and I don't want it. Stupidly I paid money to a company to sell it but it was a scam. I just want to get rid of it. I know you cannot resell these timeshares. How can I cancel the contract? Thank you....

Timeshares can be a terrific purchase for some families, as they also can be a giant rip off for others. 50 years ago, also known as Holiday Home Sharing or timeshare travel timeshares were created with the idea of offering fully furnished accommodations for a lower price than a full-time ownership.

Probably the most viable option is to cancel your timeshare and check if any money can be recovered. Even there, there are companies who will -that might be linked to resell scams- that will claim to have experience and knowledge in the in and outs of the industry to help you recover your deposit

The best solution to the dilemma of how to get out of timeshare is the cancellation of the contract. Timeshare cancellation is the most effective way to get rid of a timeshare. By cancelling the contract you can relief yourself from all the payments and obligations that you have when you own a timeshare, plus you won’t have any further strings attached to the resort.

Hello, i and my husband sign up for a timeshare in Las Vegas at the Grandview Resort.
We made this on December 2016
We have only made the first payment (deposit) when we were over there, but of course got a plan of making payments. We haven't make any payments yet and they call us all time and now they sent me an email saying our account is "default"
We really don't want to pay for something we really are not going to use. We just want to cancel, i spoke to some of their representative and she said i can't cancel this timeshare. I explained that i no longer have the money to purchase this timeshare.
I don't know what to do, we don't want it anymore.
Is there a way to cancel and get rid of this?

The amount we pay the first time which i believe was $350.
They can keep that.

We bought a timeshare from CLC and want to free ourselves of it. Paid ITRA to get our money back, but have since learnt that they take your money and don't do what they say! have been contacted by various other companies stating they can get our money from CLC and ITRA back. Really don't know who I can trust as most companies what £5-6,000 to do this. Please can you help!!

My wife and I were forced into buying a timeshare....that we didn't want...at the Grandview Las Vegas a few years ago. We have never used this timeshare to this date and never will. We are in financial hardship rite now and need to get rid of this as we cannot afford the monthly payments any longer. I do not know what to do or what company's can help as there is so many scams out there and can't afford to loose money. Can you help? Thanks

I appreciate that you said going through a cancellation attorney isn't recommended, especially if you don't have a lot of experience with he process. My husband and I have been thinking about getting a timeshare. We don't know much about them, but if we do end up getting one, we'll be sure to seek help from an attorney in case we are ever having problems.

Can you provide me the list of companies that can provide timeshare advice free? I contacted a company that advertised to get me out of my timeshare but for the fee of $4500, which if I had that, most of my problem would be solved.

I have a timeshare at Massanutten and my lifestyle has changed where I have had to take in a friend's child and I moved south which reduced my yearly salary by $5000. Needless to say, there is no longer any discretionary income to continue paying the mortgage and maintenance fees, which skyrocketed. Any advice? I have been reading about deed in lieu of foreclosure and writing a hardship letter --- are they possibilities at Massanutten?

I have a timeshare that hasn't been used in six years due to my husband's illness and ultimately death. I am 86 years old, unable to travel and am on a fixed, limited income. I am being dunned by a collection company for "dues" of over a $1000.00. I informed that I cannot pay that and they told me that I had to pay it. I told them I could send them $25.00 a month and they told me that the amount would still continue to rise and still be in collection. I have really good credit and this is killing me! What can I do?

We would love to get out of this contract as they double teamed us and kept us in the room for a very long time. Then they put our timeshare down in AZ and we have never used it and it has been a long time.of paying for nothing. We are old and over 70 and I am close behind. all we want is to get out of this and quit paying money for nothing
